Gamma Scientific offers solutions for the testing and calibration of optical sensing systems of varous types, ranging from monolithic sensors to sensor arrays to cameras and scientific imaging systems.
Solutions for most camera/sensor test applications can be assembled from the components illustrated below. Consult with our engineers for assistance in configuring a system to meet your needs.
RS-5 Digital Uniform Light Source: 50mm diameter source, single-channel; 16-bit digital resolution.
RS-5H High-Power Spectral DULS: 100mm diameter, high-power, eight-channel; spectrally programmable.
RS-5A Single-Channel DULS: 100mm diameter source, single-channel; 16-bit digital resolution.
RS-5B Multi-Channel Spectral DULS: 100mm diameter, ten-channel source; spectrally programmable.
Eigenfield™ Uniform Illuminator Systems: With DLS, provide direct or diffuse illumination, as needed.
Camera/Sensor Test and Calibration Applications
Our Digital Light Source systems can be used to test or to calibrate sensors and sensing systems of various types, including
- Simple (Monolithic) Sensors
- Sensor Arrays: CMOS, CCD, Diode-Array
- Imaging Systems: Cameras, Telescopes, Microscopes
- Device under test: Simple Sensor or Sensor Array
- Illuminator Type: Projection Tube
- Units of Calibration: Illuminance (lumen/m2) or Irradiance (W/m2)
- Device under test: Imaging System
- Illuminator Type: Integrating Sphere
- Units of Calibration: Luminance (cd/m2) or Radiance (W/cm2sr)
Digital Light Sources are typically coupled to the device under test by some type of uniform illumination optics. One of two broad types of illuminator may be chosen, depending on the type of device
