Gamma Scientific now offers a range of light source and sensor calibration services from their ISO 17025, NVLAP accredited (NVLAP Laboratory code 200823-0) facility located in San Diego, CA.

Specifically, the company provides a comprehensive suite of testing capabilities, such as radiance, irradiance, luminance, illuminance, total flux and LM-79-80, for virtually any type of light source used in consumer, medical, industrial or commercial applications.

This includes incandescent and fluorescent lamps, LEDs and other types of solid state lighting, and even displays for cellphones, computers, automobiles and aviation.

In addition, Gamma Scientific performs testing of heads up display (HUD), and other cockpit displays and light sources, for compatibility with Night Vision Imaging Systems (NVIS) in accordance with MIL-STD-3009-2001. The company also offers an extensive array of calibration services for a variety of OEM light sensing instruments. Examples include lux meters, photometers and spectroradiometers.

Throughout all these testing capabilities, Gamma Scientific’s primary emphasis is on delivering NIST traceable measurements with the highest possible quality and absolute accuracy, backed up by responsive customer support. This is possible, in part, because Gamma Scientific themselves build the most accurate spectroradiometers currently available. This is even recognized by NIST, who use Gamma Scientific instrumentation in their own calibration laboratory.
