LED Measurement Sockets Models 40032 and 40044
  • Meets CIE Publication 127 Conditions A & B
  • Locking flange to assure precise LED alignment to the mechanical axis for repeatable measurements
  • Banana-type connectors to use with any precision power supply
  • Extra leads to monitor diode junction resistance
  • Fits any Gamma Scientific spectroradiometer or photometer, and other spectroradiometers
  • Distance-setting tool for precise alignment to the tip of the LED

Designed for use with most spectroradiometer or photometer systems, these test sockets ensure precise LED alignment, allowing users to easily perform accurate, repeatable measurements of a variety of LED spectral characteristics such as luminous flux, radiant intensity, and dominant wavelength.

For ultra-precision applications, the 40032 Test Socket features spring-loaded finger clamps that hold the LED in place. The 40044 Test Socket is designed for measurements where ultra-precision is not a requirement.

Both devices accommodate regular, miniature and sub-miniature LEDs and feature a locking flange that snaps firmly into a CIE Condition A or B baffle tube, assuring precise alignment of the LED's mechanical axis. In addition, the finger clamps and locking flange ensure the distance from LED tip to detector is precisely set and conforms to CIE Publication 127.

The 40032 and 40044 test sockets can be used with virtually any LED measurement system and feature banana connectors for use with high-precision power supplies. Extra leads are provided to measure the junction resistance of the diode to monitor the diode temperature.
