Technical Marketing Manager

This position is for a Technical Marketing Manager. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and is responsible for all marketing related activities for the business; primarily focused on Lead Generation, Sales Tool Development and Branding. This position requires a hands-on individual with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, work in a team and as an individual, and be self-driven and self-sufficient. Excellent organizational and effective communication skills are essential. 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Proven track record in increasing sales through Marketing and Product positioning
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including technical writing
  • Experience in Image Sensors, Light Sources, Displays and/or Photonics strongly preferred
  • Competency in Adobe Suite applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Familiarity with Drupal web architecture a plus
  • Domestic and occasional international travel required

 

Education: 

 

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Physics-related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of Product Management or Technical Marketing Experience

 

Language Skills: 

 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical content; ability to write marketing content and understand specifications and applications; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, engineers and customers in the English language. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Recommend lead generation programs for key product lines & determine budgets and schedules
  • Manage the acquisition of advertising content from internal technical resources and translate into promotional messaging
  • Lead the creation and placement of advertising materials such as Press Releases, Banner Ads, E-blasts and other advertising vehicles
  • Manage company websites in terms of content updates, branding, SEO and Google Ads
  • Manage the acquisition of sales tool content from internal technical resources and translate into Sales Tools such as Specification Sheets, Product Brochures and User Manuals
  • Manage trade show activity including booth layout, organization, planning and execution of approximately 6 key trade shows per year
  • Track lead-generation activity to maximize effectiveness of advertising spend
  • Manage branding and style including electronic & print materials, product branding and all other uses of the Gamma Scientific identity
